About The Patch’s

Tim is 52 years old and has been in the ministry for 30 years, working in a variety of settings and with all ages.  He has been very involved with the District, and is currently serving as District Youth Director

Tim has a heart for families, and is an ‘ideas man’, always seeking new and innovative ministry ideas that serve the church as a whole, building strong families, which in turn builds a strong church.  He is especially strong in the areas of support (spiritual and emotional) and crisis management.  As Senior Pastor he led the Lake Orion Church through its merger with the Clarkston Church, where he has remained as Associate Pastor for the past twelve years.  He gave leadership to the Clarkston Church while they went through the process of choosing a new pastor after the pastor of 21 years retired.

Outside of church, Tim’s interests include sports (if you need a bicycle buddy or someone to watch football with, he’s your man!), working in the yard, traveling, and new experiences.

Barb has always been very actively involved in ministry alongside Tim, and has served in a wide variety of roles. Barb’s ministry highlights this year include traveling to Ireland with Teen Team, leading the Youth Worship Band, and being part of the church’ss Prayer Quilt group.

Barb enjoys music, and has earned her certificate in Worship Ministries from Christian Ministries Institute.  She attends as many worship seminars as possible, the most recent being Integrity’s Seminars4Worship.  Other interests include computers, reading and quilting.

Krista is a freshman at Lake Orion High School.  She has a real heart for reaching her friends for Christ, and has been inviting friends to church since she was a little girl.  As a result, she has had the privilege of seeing two of her friends accept Christ as their personal Savior, and one make a commitment to develop a personal relationship with Christ.

Krista enjoys reading, computers, hanging out with friends, and like most teens, television.

Katie is a Social Worker with Ameri-Corps and works with Head Start. She has served as Junior High sponsor and is much loved by the teens she works with.

Katie traveled to West Virginia with HMO last summer and plans to travel to Mexico with Mission Encounter this summer.

Karen works for Bass Pro Shop in Auburn Hills.  She has recently left our nest and moved into an apartment with her sister, Katie.  Karen has been very active in ministry, and has worked with children’s programs for several years.

Our family pets include: Dusty, our very old Cocker Spaniel; Maytag, the cat who was found in a dryer vent; and McKinley the bunny.
